The website setswana.info was created and is hosted by Jacob Knight, currently living in Gaborone, Botswana. Jacob speaks fluent Swahili but is just learning Setswana, and was shocked at the lack of online resources, compared to those available for Swahili, hence the motivation to create this site in early 2007.

Much of the teaching material comes from Nthati Phetlhu, who is a Setswana tutor based in Gaborone, Botswana, and can be contacted to arrange lessons on +267 7169 8807

The dictionary software uses drupal procedures developed by www.kasahorow.com African languages project, who also assisted in setting up the website and ironing out the bugs.
